10 Albums that influenced my LIFE

Gabriela Vallejos-Permenter wants me to post 10 influential Albums in my life, 10 albums, 1 a day, that I have Loved through my Lifetime.



My Album #1 is Songs in the Key of Life by Stevie Wonder

My Album #2 is Chico Buarque de Hollanda the first album by Brazilian musician Chico Buarque, it was released in 1966.

My Album #3 is My Album #3. Caetano Veloso: 1968.

My Album #4. Chega de Saudade released in 1959 is the debut album by Brazilian musician João Gilberto and is often credited as the first bossa nova album. Also Brasil and Amoroso (impossible to choose one, here are three as an example)

My Album #5. Gilberto Gil (Frevo Rasgado)(Philips LP, 1968) and, as a bonus, Acústico MTV - Gilberto Gil DVD,

My Album #6: HAIR - Original Soundtrack Recording and the movie HAIR, an American Tribal Love-Rock Musical

My Album #7 is a double tribute to Elvis Presley & Billie Holiday - two iconic stars, each on their own “Bigger than Life” stardom!!

My Album #8 is Abbey Road by The Beatles

My Album #9 is Let It Bleed by The Rolling Stones

My Album #10 (another double tribute to 2 great singers from Brazil)

MUSIC has been the light that illuminates my path as I walk, day by day, in this enigmatic roller coaster called LIFE. I came from a Family and a Country where music is valorized as one of our highest assets culturally and I have instilled in You and your Brother the love for it!!!

end of childhood and beginning of adolescence with loving guidance!

4. Chega de Saudade, Brasil and Amoroso: longing for my Country, Brasil, with loving understanding that it was with me no matter where I was!!


5. Gilberto Gil: My Master, socially, culturally, politically!!


6. HAIR: living in peace and harmony with the planet and my fellow companions without armed war!! No Violence!!

7. ELVIS & BILLIE HOLIDAY - all the best love can give you, to live passionately!!

8. Abbey Road: more then a street, a World of Music!!

9. The Roling Stones: REBELLION

10. Gal & Bethânia: Women Power with Grace!!

6. HAIR: vivendo em paz e harmonia com o planeta e meus companheiros sem guerra armada!! Sem violencia!!
